At Plekhanov University in Dubai, the international forum “The Power of Women” took place, organized by the global community “Women Global”, which unites female entrepreneurs, business executives, renowned experts, and thought leaders. The forum served as a unique platform for keynote speeches, networking, and discussions on equality and opportunities for women in education and career development.

The forum opened with a welcoming speech from Svetlana Malkarova, Director of Plekhanov University in Dubai:

“Plekhanov University is honored to host women leaders from various countries! Each of your life and professional journeys is an inspiring story of overcoming challenges—first and foremost, for women, but also as an important example of leadership for men. As educators, whose mission is to spread knowledge to both women and men, we see these stories as powerful demonstrations of opportunities and gender equality for the younger generation.”

Her Highness Sheikha Maryam bint Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Maktoum, addressing the participants, emphasized:

“Leadership is the ability to inspire women to act with purpose and change the world for the better. The future shines brighter when women take responsibility for shaping it.”

Mirela Sula, founder and head of the international community “Women Global,” highlighted the vital role of women in society’s development:

“Strong women build strong communities. The strength of a women’s network is the foundation for deep and lasting change.”

Yulia Maksimovich, forum organizer, regional leader of “Women Global” in Dubai, Plekhanov University alumna, and Chair of the International Alumni Club, stated:

“Women supporting each other is the key to unlocking boundless opportunities.”

The event gathered over 70 women from the UAE, the United Kingdom, Bahrain, Qatar, Switzerland, and Saudi Arabia, all members of “Women Global.”

The forum was hosted by the Dubai branch of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.

The branch is accredited by the UAE Ministry of Education (CAA) and KHDA.

It offers undergraduate programs in Marketing and Finance, as well as master’s programs in Corporate Finance and Digital Business.
